The Rolling Stones Tour of the Americas kicks off
The Rolling Stones kicked off their biggest ever US tour on June 1st 1975 at Louisiana State University. The tour covered 45 shows in 26 cities. It was also the first time guitarist Ronnie Wood joined the Stones on tour, replacing Mick Taylor.
