'Float Forever' is the supposed new single from boys' debut album In Love.

Arctic Monkeys - Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High

Yesterday also saw the release of the 'highly anticipated' fifth studio album - being given the half arsed title of AM - from the Monkeys.  Awarded a whopping 10/10 by NME (the only other band to score that high so far this year was Daft Punk), you'll be sure to hear much, much more of it for the rest of the year.

The Strypes - You Can't Judge A Book By The Cover

Finally, the boys' LP is out to get your paws on at long last!  Snapshot, their debut album, is released today so hurry up and go get yourself a copy right now; it's modern rock 'n' roll blues at its delusional best.

Television - See No Evil

It's a Sunday, meaning it's the day before Monday.  Simple enough.  But there are going to be some big, big albums being released tomorrow, so to get us psyched up let's go with a gem from the past - 1977 to be precise.

Babyshambles - Nothing Comes to Nothing

Doherty and co. announced their return earlier this year, and their third studio album, Sequel to the Prequel, was released last week.  They say it's the sound of the band at its best - find out by getting your hands on the damn thing yourself here.

Swim Deep Live at Rough Trade East 06.08.13

“I think…” began Austin Williams, taking long sips from his beer and smiling coyly to himself, “that we’re the best band in the world right now.”  These were the daring words of a frontman who is currently leading the most hyped up indie band in the country right now.

Swim Deep broke out of Birmingham and found their fame over a year ago, and in no time at all proved to be the centre of an ever-growing, furiously devoted fan base.  Being called the ‘One Direction for indie girls’, their mainly female following is evident at their intimate live session in the East London record store, Rough Trade.

One of their album’s most upbeat tracks, Francisco, kicks off the gig and girls all around the room need no more encouragement to start dancing to the infectious keys which, even for their live sound, prove to be the centre around which most of Swim Deep’s songs revolve around.

A brilliant drum solo from Zach Robinson is included, to the sheer joy of the audience.  Tracks from their debut album such as Red Lips I Know and The Sea are all offered and received wonderfully by the crowd, and the band end with the ultimate climax of King City, which is, unbelievably, even better live than in recording.  The driving keyboard hook in the song is left ringing in people’s ears, and everyone is still humming it as they rush to join the queue to get their records signed.

All in all, an absolutely faultless performance from Austin, Higgy, Cavan and Zach.  Oh, and to add to the night, free ‘100m’ patches were handed out individually by the band to everyone who attended.  You can’t beat that.
