A Whiter Shade of Pale Enters the Charts
Procol Harum's most iconic track - their debut single A Whiter Shade of Pale - was released on 12th May 1967 and entered the charts on the 25th. By 8th June, it had reached No 1 and remained there for six weeks. It's one of the fewer than 30 singles to have sold over 10 million copies worldwide. And it's BLOODY AWESOME.
