"Look, I don't wanna be the same as everybody else. That's why I'm a Mod, see? I mean, you gotta be somebody, ain't ya, or you might as well jump in the sea and drown." - Jimmy Cooper, Quadrophenia

Peace - An Introduction
The English indie rock scene has been taken over by four guys from Birmingham, and they call themselves Peace. They've been about quite a while now actually, forming back in 2009 under the name November and the Criminal and playing small, local festivals and such (who knew?). But they've worked their way up the ladder, making their mark on the music scene in early 2012 when they started getting noticed by guys like the NME and the Guardian, and getting support slots with the Vaccines.
In March 2013, they released their debut album 'In Love' and it not only made the top twenty, sitting snugly at No 16, but bagged a respectable 9/10 from NME reviewers. Some say they have one foot in the past and one if the future, and their LP was reflecting their innocent, daydream believer style attitude to the world. They've been compared to Foals and Vampire Weekend, and offer occasional reminders of the Cure and the Beatles. Peace have been named the best live band in Britain, so I suppose you'll have to go and see what the fuss is all about, eh?
