"Look, I don't wanna be the same as everybody else. That's why I'm a Mod, see? I mean, you gotta be somebody, ain't ya, or you might as well jump in the sea and drown." - Jimmy Cooper, Quadrophenia

New Movie - Spike Island
It's not often that a non-indie-actually-coming-to-my-local-cinema type movie combines not only awesome actors with a great story line, but also a mind blowing soundtrack and the most awesome tag line. But guess what - we've got one coming our way next month.
Spike Island follows a group of young lads in a newly formed band making their journey to the said Spike Island, to see one of the most famous gigs of all time: the Stone Roses.
Nico Mirallegro and Jordan Murphy star in the film - you might remember them as Finn and Chop from the Britpop infested E4 slice of TV gold which was My Mad Fat Diary.
The tagline? "It's not where you're from. It's where you're at." Yep, the most famous Ian Brown quote is the tagline. THIS DOESN'T GET BETTER.
So even if you're not a teenage girl like me and won't appreciate the fantastic actors strutting around in Reni hats and oversized shirts, at least the soundtrack will be littered with Roses tunes, and that's more than enough from a film, right?
It'll be out at your local cinema on June 21. Make sure you get there, and make sure you turn up in your Roses tee, because then we'll look like a better version of those geeks who go see Star Wars in Darth Vader costumes.
